Barbara Mosher is a contemporary abstract painter known for bold color fields, layered transparency, and emotionally charged mark-making. Drawing from four decades of creative practice, she creates large-scale works that feel alive in space — immersive, textured, and full of movement.
Her art explores presence, energy, and the internal landscapes we carry — offering collectors pieces that don’t just decorate a room, but transform it.
She doesn't begin with a plan.
She begins with instinct—and a willingness to stay until something true emerges.
Based in the Pacific Northwest with deep ties to West Coast art communities, Barbara works primarily in acrylic and mixed media on canvas.
Her paintings live in private collections across the U.S. and Europe, and continue to evolve — always reaching toward beauty, intensity, and truth.
She is currently seeking representation for her memoir, Chrome to Canvas.
